The name Gremlin comes from two things. A love for the old sci-fi film, and the gremlins in the system that anyone who has worked in technology knows all too well. Chasing those gremlins is what shaped this company.
The problem
Large consultancies follow a predictable pattern. They arrive, sell something expensive, and leave before anyone has to maintain it. Simpler solutions often exist, but simpler does not generate the same revenue, so they rarely get recommended.
Gremlin exists to give honest advice. If a business does not need Kubernetes, that is worth saying. If an AWS bill is twice what it should be, the first conversation should be about where the money is going, not about buying more services. Some projects are not a good fit, and declining them produces better outcomes than delivering work nobody is proud of.
What Gremlin does
Gremlin is a small team based in Essex with over 20 years of combined experience across cloud infrastructure, DevOps, software development, and AI. The client base ranges from startups configuring their first AWS environment to established companies that need to modernise or scale.
Gremlin also supports charities. Reduced rates are standard, and some organisations receive support at no cost. Important work on a tight budget deserves proper technology backing.
How Gremlin works
Clients speak directly to the people doing the work. There is no sales team and no account manager. Problems surface early, not after someone has to chase them.
Pricing is upfront. Documentation is thorough. Everything is built so internal teams can run it independently. The goal is always to leave an organisation in a stronger position than it started.
If that approach sounds right, get in touch.
